Taft Corners Park & Four Seasons Garden Center
- Williston
One of the largest commercial parks in the state of Vermont, Taft
Corners Park is located off Interstate 89 exit 12 in Williston.
This project was part of a major growth expansion in the Town of
Williston in the 1990’s which continues today.
Trudell Consulting Engineers (TCE) has been the lead consultant
involved with all civil engineering, planning, and state and local
permitting for the this 100-acre park since 1991. Our firm worked
with J.L. Davis and Taft Corners Associates and created site plans
for each tenant, working with large businesses such as Hannaford’s,
Wal-Mart, PetSmart, Bed, Bath, & Beyond, Circuit City, Toys
‘R Us, Marshals and Home Depot, looking to meet each company’s
specific needs and increasingly difficult local and state regulations.
Four Seasons Garden Center, a recent addition to Taft Corners Park,
required TCE to complete utility and site engineering, and provide
an innovative stormwater design that is a filtering wetland system
prior to discharging runoff to impaired waterway. This system allows
for removal of metals and excess nutrient build-up prior to discharge
in the impaired waterway. The 10-acre facility includes retail space,
as well as space for community educational use, a greenhouse, plant
display areas, and an enhanced wetland display that provides a safe
habitat for birds, fish, ducks, and emergent plants.
